Mishel Mussali
Age: 21
Year: Junior
Major: Sociology & Anthropology
Mishel moved to Indiana 2 years ago to study Sociology and Anthropology at Earlham College. She is originally from Mexico City which is one of the largest cities in the world. She has always wanted to learn about agriculture and sustainable living, reason why this summer she is enjoying the goodness of Indiana’s rural life at Miller Farm. At the farm she is learning about sustainable agriculture, working at the gardens and having a lot of fun hanging out with chickens, goats and cats! She really wants to learn to make goat cheese. She also hopes to learn about the medicinal use of the herbs we have at the Flower Island. This is her first time working in a farm, so she is learning a bunch of things about farm management every day. In her free time she enjoys painting, reading and walking. She is also learning Tibetan this summer because she will be living with the Tibetan community in Dharamsala (India) next fall.
